Description
Birds, one in a series of 9s, is an original digital collage, created through a series of layers, using photographic images with original textures and colors. The layers are manipulated individually to achieve the desired effect. I only occasionally use filters in my work. Some pieces may have as many as one hundred layers.

A nice collection of bird photos to begin with. The digital processing beautifully brings out the details of feathers, beaks, and eyes.

Thanks. I did a few of these 9-panel pieces, figured out very quickly that each small piece took just as long to do as one large one, and moved on.
